While an actual fight between Conor McGregor and Cody Garbrandt is nowhere near the realm of possibilities at present, that didn’t stop Cody Garbrandt from answering a line of questioning from ESPN on the subject.

The UFC bantamweight champion is proud of his boxing skills, something he’s been working on his entire life. So when asked if he would fight Conor McGregor in a boxing match he didn’t hesitate to predict a knockout.

“I’ll go in there and knock Conor the f— out in boxing. Let’s be honest. There’s no difference in a southpaw [McGregor’s fighting stance] or orthodox. That guy could come out and fight on his hands for all I give a f—. I would knock him out, and that’s it.

Cody Garbrandt faces his former teammate and rival TJ Dillashaw in the UFC 217 co-main event.

UFC 217 goes down from the Madison Square Garden in Nw York. The night’s main card will air live on pay-per-view.
