The UFC announced they were opening a women’s featherweight division so logically they booked Holly Holm vs. Germaine de Randamie for the title. Wait, what did I just write? That can’t be accurate since the most dominant woman in mixed martial arts, Cris “Cyborg”,  happens to be a 145lb monster that eats women for breakfast (not in that way, pervert. Although it is 2016 so it would be fine).

It appears Dana White booked this match-up because “Cyborg” wanted to fight in March and turned down a few offers for earlier contests. Speaking to ESPN.com, Dana stated the following:

“We offered three fights, and [Justino] turned them all down,” White said. “This is a business. I had two girls who wanted to fight for the 145-pound title. This is the pros. If you play for the Patriots, you don’t sit around and say, ‘I don’t feel like playing this weekend.’

This makes sense (not really) and I am sure Cris will get her shot to face the winner. Just kidding, Dana hinted that Holm vs. Rousey II could take place if they both win their next fights. The good part is “Cyborg” totally understands and isn’t taking it personal. I am kidding, again. Check out what she tweeted below.

On a side note – Congratulations to “Cyborg” on her US citizenship!!!!
