At UFC Fight Night 95 Roy Nelson was upset referee Big John McCarthy didn’t step-in and stop the fight earlier against Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva so he kicked the referee when he was down attending to the knocked out Silva. Nelson apologized after the event but it appears Dana White is not satisfied with the big man.

White went on the UFC Unfiltered podcast (one of my favorites behind A Man Walks Into An Armbar) and stated the following.

“You can’t apologize for that,” White said. “You don’t ever, ever put your f**king hands on a referee, or your feet, for any reason whatso f**king ever. You don’t do it. He needs to be buried. He went over there and he put his foot on his ass to like push him over, you know what I mean? Was flipping him off, yelling whatever. You wanna flip a ref off, there is never, ever a situation where you put your f**king hands on a referee. Ever. You can’t apologize for that.”

I don’t like Dana White saying there is never, ever a situation where you put your hands on a referee. Hasn’t he ever taken an ethics class in college? What if Big John McCarthy came over to Big Country’s house and slapped his kid. Would he be allowed to engage then? Just call me the Socrates of MMA. What about the time Dana said women will NEVER fight in the UFC (which is funny because Dana can be a girls name). I guess the point I am trying to make is…never say never!!! On a side note – Roy Nelson will never get his weight under control.
