MMA Mania – SANTA MONICA (March 31, 2016) – When watching any combat sports event, it’s odd not to see Jacob ‘Stitch’ Duran as the professional cutman on duty. Today, Bellator MMA is pleased to secure his services as cutman for the foreseeable future, after “Stitch” signed a multi-year contract with the Scott Coker-led promotion.

This is great news in the MMA community. Stitch is beloved by fighters and the UFC tried to send a message when he spoke up about the sponsorship deal with Reebok by firing him. I am glad Bellator realized what an asset having a guy like this is and gave him a multi-year contract. I don’t like when somebody is singled out and made an example of when other people were doing the same thing. He was telling the story of how the deal was hurting him financially. You can’t have progress without friction. You also can’t make babies without friction… if you know what I am saying. I realize that had nothing to do with the story, but when something is funny I am going to say it.
