LeBron James uses Conor McGregor quote for inspiration
Fox Sports – LeBron James will be remembered as one of the best basketball players ever and perhaps the greatest athlete overall in his generation.
Given that, he undoubtedly serves as an inspiration to a ton of people. But even the all-time great athletes need sources of inspiration, too, so who do they turn to when in need of motivation? Other all-time greats, of course. For LeBron, that guy right now appears to be UFC star Conor McGregor. LeBron posted this awesome McGregor quote to Instagram on Wednesday:
The quote reads: “There’s no talent here, this is hard work. This is an obsession. Talent does not exist, we are all equal as human beings. You could be anyone if you put in the time. You will reach the top, and that [is] that. I am not talented, I am obsessed.”
It is cool to see MMA cross boundaries in the sports world. It is great having superstar athletes give respect to what the fighters do. With that being said…LEBRON JAMES? Come on, I hate this guy more than words can describe. I do not think Conor McGregor wants an excuse making, underachieving, and self-absorbed athlete like James quoting him for inspiration. We all know Lebron lacks heart and when things get tough he disappears or makes an excuse. He is opposite of this quote. He was blessed with height and size. I don’t care how hard I work; I will never be 6’7” and pure muscle. Just like somebody could never be me in the blogging world. I was born with wit and a knack for being funny. You can’t train for that, you can’t obsess to my greatness, you can only sit and observe…and read our blog of course.
