MMA Legend Saves Mauro Ranallo’s Life as WWE NXT Announcer Nearly Chokes to Death
NXT commentator Mauro Ranallo nearly choked to death on Sunday night, but luckily MMA legend Frank Shamrock happened to be there to save the day. Mauro tweeted, “Please learn the Heimlich manuever. Frank Shamrock saved my life with it tonight.”
Shamrock was the first ever UFC Light Heavyweight Champion as well as the first ever Strikeforce Middleweight Champion and was named “Most Outstanding Fighter” two years in a row by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Ranallo of course returned to WWE as the lead commentator for the NXT brand in mid-2017 after a short absence.
For those interested, the American Red Cross hosts numerous training corses for general first aid, CPR and more all around the country. Check out the official Red Cross website for more information.
Please learn the Heimlich maneuver. @frankshamrock saved my life with it tonight.
