NFL’s Greg Hardy Set To Make MMA Fighting Debut
Greg Hardy, a former NFL player, is now set to make his mixed martial arts debut.
In an amateur heavyweight competition, Hardy will be taking on Joe Hawkins at Rise of a Warrior 21. The event will go down Nov. 4 and will take place at the Havert L. Fenn Center in Fort Pierce, Fla.
Responding to a fan’s request as to when the former football player would be making his debut, Hardy broke the news.

Greg Hardy recently made headlines for being involved in a 2014 domestic violence case. The former player’s girlfriend claimed that she was physically assaulted by Hardy and that Hardy had made threats on her life. Appealing the verdict after receiving 18 months of probation, Hardy’s charges were dropped because a testimony was never provided by the alleged victim.
After the case, Hardy was not resigned by the Carolina Panthers. Rather, the player would go on to compete for the Dallas Cowboys from 2015-2016. Hardy was not signed by the team the following year. Now, he’s looking to kick off a budding mixed martial arts career.
