Bloody Elbow – The Fight Nights: Fedor vs. Maldonado card will not feature any drug testing regulations, including specific tests for the main event competitors.

According to Russian outlet Tass.ru, Fight Nights promoter Kamil Gadzhiev opted not to conduct doping tests for the June 17 clash. Fight Nights does not regularly undergo drug testing for the fighters on their shows and they did not see any reason to make an exception this time around.

“We will not check for doping,” Kamil said. “We do not have doping control. In this regard, we do not make exceptions.”

Asked whether he is concerned about the fighters using banned substances to enhance their performances during fights, the promoter offered a nonchalant response:

“No, we did not think about it.”

I love this guy. Of course they did not think about drug testing fighters. They like their fight cards like they like their 1998 home run races. Huge, powerful and juiced up!!! On a side note, this is just Russia being Russia. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had each fighter dip their hands in glue and crushed glass to make it more interesting.
