Bloody Elbow – It was recently reported that Ronda Rousey was offered a fight against Amanda Nunes for UFC 207 on December 30th in Las Vegas. In turn, the champion had stated that a fight against “Rowdy” is the one that “has to happen” for her first title defense.

“If they ask me who I want to fight, I’m going to say I want to fight Ronda. I’m not running from anyone, I’m the champion and I can choose who I’m going to fight,” Nunes said. “I will choose what’s best for me and Ronda would be ‘the’ main fight, that’s why it has to be against her, it has to be with Ronda.”

Nunes may be getting what she had asked for, after all. According to MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani, the deal for the said fight will likely be completed by the end of the week.

Just last week, Rousey’s head coach Edmond Taverdyan shunned conversations about his fighter’s return, stating he should be asked again about it after two more months.

I was really hoping Ronda would make her return against Cyborg but this is a smart move if it turns out to be true. You don’t want to fight that lady if you have any ring rust because she could have her eating through a straw…again (shout out to Rousey vs. Holm). Amanda is no slouch either and if Ronda suffers defeat again, I am fearful I will never get to see her and Cris lock it up in the octagon. That would be a travesty and I do not know how I would cope (probably lots of pizza and beer). I like to think I am one of the funnier people on Twitter but I saw the post from MMA Roasted and was sad I didn’t think of it first. Check out what they said below.
