WhatCulture.com – He may be the ‘Nature Boy’, a Limousine Ridin’, Jet Flyin’, Kiss Stealin’, Wheelin’ Dealin’ Son of a Gun, but it’s easy to forget that Ric Flair also happens to a 67 year-old-man who has spent the last 40 years bleeding all over the world. As such, he’s likely to get caught up in the moment from time to time.

One such moment transpired at this week’s SmackDown tapings, where Ric, his WWE Women’s Champion daughter Charlotte, and #1 contender Natalya were all guests on the Ambrose Asylum. Natalya’s uncle Bret will be in her corner for their title match at Payback, and Lady Neidhart took this opportunity to tell Flair that her uncle could probably take him to the woodshed if need be.

Flair did the only thing he knows how to do, and ‘Flair-d up’ so to speak. In doing so he got a little out of control, and a slip of the tongue (hopefully) led to him telling Natalya to ‘kill yourself’. Luckily for all involved, SmackDown is a taped show so we’re unlikely to see this controversial statement on this week’s episode.

Unless of course this is the new direction of the Ambrose Asylum. Reports that Flair removed his jacket and delivered an elbow drop to Ambrose’s plant pot can’t be confirmed.

Well, this one is going to be bad. In a society where people relish the opportunity to be offended by something, Ric Flair gave them a reason at this week’s Smackdown tapings in Manchester, NH by telling Natalya to “kill herself”.

I don’t know Ric Flair, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say his intent was not to be insensitive to the very real issue of suicide. That’s exactly what everyone will turn it into though. Every nitwit with a Twitter has already been loudly banging their touch screens, feigning outrage over these comments.

Here’s the thing, it’s friggin pro wrestling and Ric Flair is a bad guy. Stop pretending to be offended over everything and get a life.
