The King Calls Out The Last Emperor!!!
MMA Weekly – Former Pride FC heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko returned to fighting for the first time since June 2012 on New Year’s Eve in the Rizin FF 2 main event. The 39-year-old Russian defeated Singh Jaideep by TKO three minutes into their bout.
On the same fight card, Bellator MMA’s Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal won the inaugural Rizin FF Grand Prix and wants to face Emelianenko in the Bellator cage.
Lawal called out “The Last Emperor” via Twitter on Tuesday.

Rizin FF aired on Spike TV in the United States, and Spike TV parent company, Viacom, owns Bellator MMA. Emelianenko last fought in the U.S. in 2011 under the now defunct Strikeforce banner. Former Strikeforce founder and CEO Scott Coker is now the president of Bellator MMA.
I would like to see a modern day showdown between a king and an emperor. Add in the fact they can both drop an elephant with one punch and you got a slobberknocker on your hands. This is one of the biggest fights the promotion could make. It would draw big numbers and I could see this as a pay per view event. I know these two haven’t been relevant since the days when kings and emperors ruled the land but they are still big names. I would watch because I am still intrigued with Fedor. King Mo is a wrestler that hits very hard so it could be a tough matchup if Lawal can take Emelianenko down. I still don’t get my hopes up when it comes to Fedor matches, because he has disappointed so many times. It is like when your girlfriend gets drunk and you convince yourself she will give up the backdoor but then she falls asleep two minutes after getting home.
