Andrey Koreshkov def. Benson Henderson via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) – to retain welterweight title

This was a tough fight to watch. Andrey Koreshkov was too big and too strong for Benson Henderson. I am assuming Henderson thought coming from the UFC he was much better than the Bellator roster and size wouldn’t be a big deal in his debut. Well, I guess the talent pool is doing just fine under the promotion and Benson will have to rethink his strategy moving forward. That was total domination and I would give anything to see Andrey Koreshkov fight Rory MacDonald. The bout between two psychos that stalk their opponents.

Patricio Freire def. Henry Corrales via submission (guillotine choke) – Round 2, 4:09

Corrales was putting up a good fight, but when ‘Pitbull’ locks in a guilltine, ‘Pitbull’ locks in a guillotine. That man seems to have so much strength and the end came quickly after the submission was secured.

Evangelista Santos def. Brennan Ward via submission (heel hook) – Round 1, 0:30

There is not much to comment on here. A heel hook hurts (a lot) and Brennan Ward had to tap. Santos, the original ‘Cyborg’ has an underrated submission game and people in the division need to bring their A game.

Brent Primus def. Gleristone Santos via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

Everybody in the world had the fight for Santos but the judges gave it to Primus. That is all!!!

Michael Page def. Jeremie Holloway via submission (toe hold) – Round 1, 2:15

Michael Page fired a couple good shots hurting Holloway and when Jeremie tried to lock up a leg, Michael secured a toe hold. Yes, you read that right…a toe hold. It is pretty cool to see these kinds of submissions at this level. A TOE HOLD!!!
