Glover Teixeira def. Rashad Evans via knockout (punches) – Round 1, 1:48

Glover has a weird style to watch for me. He doesn’t look like the most athletic person, but I guess that doesn’t matter when you have a left hand that can put down a bear. I don’t think there is a huge takeaway for Rashad when it comes to this fight. He got caught on the chin by a man with big power. That shot would have knocked anybody out.

After the fight Golver called out Anthony Johnson since he doesn’t have a fight on the horizon…YES, PLEASE!!!

Rose Namajunas def. Tecia Torres via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

This was a pretty even fight. I actually scored it for Torres giving her rounds 1 and 2 and a buddy of mine had Torres winning rounds 1 and 3. That goes to show you how close this contest was. I thought Tecia’s offense looked crisp and she seemed to have the better footwork but Rose would land some timely takedowns. Rose pulled off the victory but I would love to see these two fight for a third time.

Khabib Nurmagomedov def. Darrell Horcher via TKO (strikes) – Round 2, 3:38

When the fight started Horcher was getting the better of Nurmagomedov on the feet but that lasted about 20 seconds until Khabib decided he wanted to take the fight to the ground. At that point you could tell Horcher was outclassed. Khabib Nurmagomedov dominated and I am not sure anybody can beat him except for more injuries. I hope he stays healthy long enough to really shake up the division.

Cub Swanson def. Hacran Dias via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Swanson’s offense looked good, he hit Dias with some big shots and took home the W. It was good to see him back in action. If he can stay active, he can definitely win some fights.
