UFC 205 was set to feature a six-bout main card (instead of the usual five) for its New York debut but all of that is out the window because Kelvin Gastelum didn’t show up for the official UFC 205 weigh-ins. He later announced he was unable to make the required 171-pound weight so his matchup with Donald Cerrone was yanked from the event. This is why I could never be an elite fighter. The older I get the less I care about keeping to a strict diet. My weight fluctuates so much that I anticipate myself dying by the time I reach 40 (official cause of death: gravy for blood). We can tell Kelvin to fight at middleweight from now on but he has already missed weight 3 times in his career. If you tell him 185, he will get to 225 before we know it. The struggle is real and I can relate to how hard it is to try and stay away from the pizza. It is just too yummy (kind of like how Miesha looked at the weigh-in this morning)!!!

Thiago Alves came in 6.6 pounds over for his fight with Jim Miller so that fight will now be a 163-pound catch weight contest after the commission allowed Miller to rehydrate and weigh-in within 5 pounds of his opponent. Alves was fined 20 percent of his purse and can’t be heavier than 173 pounds on fight night.

The new main card lineup is:

Eddie Alvarez vs. Conor McGregor – for lightweight title

Tyron Woodley vs. Stephen Thompson – for welterweight title

Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Karolina Kowalkiewicz – for strawweight title

Yoel Romero vs. Chris Weidman

Raquel Pennington vs. Miesha Tate
