Russia has a long history of being…well, Russia. This time the craziness comes in the form of kids fighting kids at the ‘Grand Prix Akhmat 2016 Finals’ on Tuesday at the Sport Hall Coliseum in Grozny, Russia.

Fedor Emelianenko (you know, arguably the best MMA fighter ever), President of the Russian MMA Union, criticized the promotion for hosting the event stating:

“What happened at the tournament in Grozny is unacceptable and, moreover, cannot be justified,” Emelianenko posted on Instagram. “There were little ones, eight years old, punching each other in front of happy adults. Is it really so important for you to organize a spectacle at the cost of children’s health?”

“I am outraged by the fact that the head of Chechnya was watching over it. Didn’t [the Chechen] sports minister tell him about the fact that children under 12 cannot participate in MMA under any circumstances?”

It turns out not everybody agrees with Fedor and he has been receiving multiple threats. Some of his critics are UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov and WSOF flyweight champion Magomed Bibulatov. I hope ‘The Last Emperor’ gets to meet up with them in a dark alley. I doubt they will say anything to his face because he is still big enough and bad enough to beat a couple of small dudes.

I agree with Emelianenko on this subject. No matter how mad I get at little ones I would never lock them in an octagon to fight it out. I may trip them when they walk by but that is different. If you want to see the videos check them out below.
