WWE RAW Highlights
I know what they were going for with this, but man did it miss in a big way. Probably the most sexual innuendo we’ve seen on WWE programming in quite some time. Even the live crowd groaned a few times. The New Day and Enzo & Big Cass are two of the best things in WWE right now, but on RAW, it just didn’t work.
It’s great to see WWE finally doing something with Titus O’Neil. I’ve actually really enjoyed this program so far and I’m looking forward to seeing if Rusev can pull a good match out of Titus. Titus is obviously a great ambassador for the company, it’s time to see now if he can also be a valuable in-ring commodity.
What can really be said here? The Paige/Charlotte match felt like a Divas Division throwback. It really feels like they’ve taken a giant step back with the Women since Wrestlemania. It’s too bad because there is so much talent and depth in the division currently. Hoping this gets back on track soon.
The one we’ve all been waiting for, actually I was shocked that this didn’t close out RAW. The long anticipated Shield Reunion. It was good too, very good actually. All three guys hit the mark in this segment and Dean Ambrose’s proclamation that him, not Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns, would be leaving Money in the Bank as WWE World Heavyweight Champion has really added a layer to this pay-per-view. Win or lose in the MITB Match, I believe we will soon see a Shield Triple Threat Match for the WWE WHC, maybe even as early as Summerslam.
The new WWE catchphrase that is going to be beaten into the ground is “Wrestlemania worthy match”. This match certainly is though. John Cena vs. AJ Styles is probably the most anticipated match of the night at MITB. I know for me it is. Was pretty cool hearing Cena give credibility, on WWE TV, to non-WWE properties. This match just feels big and WWE has done a great job at making it feel that way.
